The telemarketer then went on to examplify their best work: http://ylmseo.com/. At first glance it looks pretty awesome. The client’s listing show up on the first page, but, look at the search terms they are going after.

I’m sure glad I’m not a phone directory salesman selling ads to businesses, or a print shop with a contract to print phone books or other directories. My guess is business must be getting a lot tougher these days for all of them. While at a local home and garden show recently, I asked many of the vendors if I could find them in the yellow pages. Most of them said either no, or I have only a small text link. The few that did have yellow page ads said that they were only in the local directory and not the citywide directory.
