Our competition has a special offer…

I got a telemarketing call the other day from our “competitor” and here is their offer:

Setup fee: $599.00

Monthly fee: $299.00

Here is the link with their pricing at the bottom: http://yourlocalmerchant.com/packages.html

But it get’s better!

The telemarketer then went on to examplify their best work: http://ylmseo.com/. At first glance it looks pretty awesome. The client’s listing show up on the first page, but, look at the search terms they are going after.

Oh that’s a real steal..literally! Being on the fromt page of Google Maps is worth it though and I suppose a top listing could justify the price, but I sure am glad I found your company. We loving being on the first page for “duct cleaning Minneapolis” in the “A” position as CleanMyFurnace.com. I noticed that your competition has DaffyDucts in the first position on the map for “clean dryer vents Atlanta”. That doesn’t do much. I checked for duct cleaning and they aren’t on the map. Crazy price for a second rate search term.

Dryer vent cleaning is a great term, but if they’re a duct cleaner, that term is a distant second and won’t pull in nearly the impressions as a primary keyword. In fact, the term “dryer vent cleaning” gets an average of 40.500 searches nation wide per month according to Google, vs. “duct cleaning” at 301,000.

Yeah, even “air duct cleaning Atlanta” (165,000) would’ve been a much better term to rank for. I visited their website and they are all about duct cleaning so I highly doubt that is the term they want. I also noticed they have some carpet cleaner in Chicago on the first page for “flood Chicago”. LOL If I was searching for a carpet cleaner, I can bet I wouldn’t search for that term. – Btw, I plan on signing up later this fall.
